Friends of Denis Craine Benefit Concert at EHHS. One might think that names like Paul Simon, Suzanne Vega, Garland Jeffreys, Phoebe Snow and the Bridgehampton Gospel Choir would indicate the "Stars" of this event. The aforementioned talent notwithstanding however, the real shining stars were the young people and students of East Hampton who cheerfully pitched in to ensure the resounding success of this community based effort. Once again Art of Eating was called upon to manage the catering details of this occasion, while providing a tasting table themselves Local restaurants and vendors pitched in, resulting in a VIP tent, featuring a cornucopia of delicacies, tastes and beverages. Attendees were able to mingle and munch before settling in for an evening of music and entertainment. Again, volunteers and students pitched in as runners and servers, their enthusiasm adding to the already festive aura of the day. The night was magical, from the rising full moon, the talent, the students, the crowd and the vibe. In all, the community came together to help a local family in need and rise over $180,000.00! |
